  • In an ode to the 1961 comic book cover of The Flash No. 123, "The Flash of Two Worlds" (pictured left), the CW show recreated the scene and released this teaser (pictured right). This is our first look at Teddy Sears in the Jay Garrick costume. Over his Twitter account, executive producer Greg Berlanti revealed that the picture to the right is actually a moment from an episode that will air early in season 2. [Comments]
  • It's clear now that at least two speedsters are joining Team Flash in season two. Wally West (nephew of Iris West) plays sidekick/successor to Barry Allen in the DC Comics Universe. Although his role/origin may be slightly modified in the CW sitcom, we're excited to see how he'll be integrated into the show.
When asked about Keiynan Lonsdale, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said, “Just like when we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”
Lonsdale recently appeared in the film Insurgent.
Season two of The Flash premieres on Oct. 6 on the CW. [Comments]
  • John Wesley Shipp, also known as "The Barry Allen of the 90s" has been a polarizing figure since being casted onto "CW's The Flash". Although he has done an excellent job of playing Barry's imprisoned father, many of us have suspected that there is more to his character. TV Overmind caught up with Shipp at San Diego Comic-Con and asked him what many of us have been wondering:

Is there a mystery as to why Henry wasn’t more shocked the night Reverse-Flash broke into the Allen house?
“Oh I hope you are right! It’s curious, isn’t it? It’s something that I haven’t gotten an answer to. Here is a man in a yellow suit and he doesn’t ask a single question! He says [to Barry] “Move on! You got to move on, you got to let it go” He goes back [in time], “No you can’t change the timeline”. Barry gets back from having revisited, but Henry isn’t asking any questions about it, why? I hope we explore that this season.” [Comments]
  • "The Flash" producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg announced that next season there will be more speedsters joining the cast.
On the season finale of "The Flash", we witnessed Jay Garrick's hat roll out of the speedforce.

Now it's been confirmed that Jay Garrick has been casted and will be played by Teddy Sears

Flash fans are excited, and there are many unanswered questions.
Is Jay Garrick's arrival a result of Barry tapping into the speedforce? Will there be any repurcussions?
Will Jay Garrick, the Golden Age Flash, serve as a mentor to Team Flash?
